Monitoring and Assessment

• Senior ecologist assessing the suitability of plots (WRT wildlife, tree parameters and coarse woody debris) for the application of the Ecological Thinning Trial in NSW and Victorian River Red Gum Reserves (2012-13)                                                                                                                                    
• Mapping and assessment of Crown Land to identify Glossy Black Cockatoo habitat in the Riverina                                                                                                                                                                                 
• Ecology expert on 4 independent audit teams undertaking Forest Stewardship Certification (FSC) re-assessments in Australia (Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia) in 2008-2010.                                                                                                                                                                                               
• Prepared over 40 “Test of Significance” and several “Review of Environmental Factors” reports to minimize impacts on threatened species and communities, in southern NSW, for government agencies, local councils and private developers.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              
• Assisted in the development of a major database of wetlands in the Upper Murray and Murrumbidgee catchments and undertook rapid assessment of their conservation status for the Murray Wetlands Working Group and NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             
• Established and benchmarked permanent bird monitoring sites in mountain forests in the Snowy Mountains NSW and 21 in Albury Environmental Lands.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              
• Expert independent auditor of Biodiversity aspects of the review of environmental targets in North East Victoria CMA Regional Catchment Strategy (2009)
